Monthly Wanderings: February 2021

Nothing really special happened this month. It was kinda dull, but it involved a lot of prep for next month which I’m excited about!

What I Did

1.) Well, I did not hit my writing goal for February. I’ve barely scratched out 30K instead of 50K and it’s mostly due to reeling from disappointing news from last month. I’m working on picking myself back up from that. It’s taking a bit. I’m still planning on shoving on and getting this draft finished in spring because not writing isn’t going to get me anywhere.

2.) Again, nothing big happened. I went out to dinner a few times. I cammed with friends. I worked. I played with my cats.

3.) I finished reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman!

4.) The most exciting news of the month is definitely all the prep work I’ve done for my Etsy shop Neverfound Figures! I’ve got my supplies, my business cards, my special trademark stamp, my shop set up, and my Instagram started! If you could give me a follow on Instagram and favorite my Etsy shop I’d really appreciate it!

5.) My Super Solvers: Midnight Rescue! Review went up on HardcoreGaming101!

The Geeky Department

1.) I just finished Ghost of Tsushima and I really enjoyed it. It’s definitely going to be a top favorite of the year. I loved the main character Jinn Sakai, the setting and music were beautiful, and the plot was so compelling!

2.) Following the previous game, I’ve just started NiEr Automata. At first, it’s like sci-fi okay, then it takes a weird turn, so I have no idea where this is going, but I’ve heard great things about it. XD

3.) Cells at Work! Code Black is ongoing right now and it has such a different tone than Cells at Work! The first season was all happy and now this season is about an unhealthy body. I have no idea how it’s going to end!

4.) The Promised Neverland Season 2 is coming out as well! This was my favorite anime from last year and man, the next season is just as good!

5.) Attack on Titan Final Season is also ongoing! I’m swamped with anime, my friends. I’ve been in this fandom since 2013 and now I’m finally seeing it all end! OMG I’m so excited and nervous. XD

What I’m Going to Do

1.) Try to get to 60K in In Darkest Starlight!

2.) My sweet friend Cadi is coming to visit! I haven’t seen her in a year and I’m so excited to see her and I’m praying so hard that nothing happens to screw it up.

3.) I’m going to finish Dune by Frank Herbert and Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones!

4.) My Etsy shop is opening on March 5! I’ll be taking commissions and making a few premade pieces like Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender, Merlin from BBC Merlin, and Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables!
