It’s Soundtrack Sunday again! The day where I post awesome music to write to or just listen to for pleasure if you’re a fellow soundtrack junkie. X-Men: First Class is my favorite of all of the X-Men movies. The only one that comes close is Days of Future Past. I love the movie because it taps into such good emotional backgrounds for Erik (Magneto) and Charles (Professor X). It’s just amazing.
And the soundtrack is just as amazing, especially this piece. It has such villain attitude in every way. The combination of horns, strings, electric guitar, and other synthetic sounds just encapsulate Magneto completely. This is perfect for writing a villain who knows he’s bad and isn’t afraid to show it. You can listen to more epic music in my Soundtrack Sundays YouTube playlist.
Have you heard this piece before? What do you think of it? Have you seen X-Men: First Class?
