It’s Soundtrack Sunday again! The day where I post awesome music to write to or just listen to for pleasure if you’re a fellow soundtrack junkie. Lately, I’ve been on a huge Naruto kick and while watching Naruto Shippuden, I started paying attention to the music. Man, is it gorgeous, especially this piece called Utsusemi or “Man of the World.” It just breaks my heart.
The strings are masterful and pull at your heartstrings. When the harp and the old Asian string instrument come in I just cry. It is a sad and emotional piece perfect for a death scene or grieving scene or just something that makes the readers sad. It’s so beautiful. You can listen to more epic music in my Soundtrack Sundays YouTube playlist.
Have you heard this piece before? What do you think of it? Have you seen Naruto Shippuden?
If you liked this post, come back every Saturday for more writing advice, character interviews, book reviews and more!
