Monthly Wanderings: November 2020

November was a pretty good month in 2020 standards. I did some fun stuff and had a successful NaNoWriMo!

What I Did

1.) At the time of writing this post (which is last minute due to holiday XD) I’m at 47,000 words in NaNoWriMo for In Darkest Starlight! 😀

2.) I sent off my college application and am waiting to hear back. I’ve also been doing some game nights at a friend’s nice which is has been fun. I played Yahtzee for the first time and got a Yahtzee! I also watched some programs from my library about Native American Heritage month and learned some really fascinating facts about the Cherokee here in Georgia.

I had a good Thanksgiving with family and lots of yummy food. ^ ^

3.) I finished reading Timescape by Robert Liparulo and I’ve started Charlie and Glass Elevator by Roald Dahl and The House of Hades by Rick Riordan!

4.) Since this clay figure has been received I can show you one of my clay sculptures. This is Seteth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses!

The Geeky Department

1.) I’ve been watching the Mandalorian and really enjoying it! I love that the Clone Wars characters are being incorporated!

2.) Speaking of the Clone Wars I’m finally getting to watching the Lost Episodes and the Final Season and man, stuff is getting real. XD So many emotions!

3.) I also got Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity! The gameplay is really fun, and I like how it’s filling in a big gap in the story from Breath of the Wild!

4.) I’m going strong with Animal Crossing: New Horizons and I loved all of the late fall recipes so much! The Mushroom and Maple Leaf furniture are so cute!

What I’m Going to Do

1.) I’ve reached the end of my story and I’m going back and adding some little backstory parts, so I may finish those in December then in the New Year work on the much-needed rewrite. XD

2.) I’m going to wait on my college application, visit my good friend, and enjoy the holidays with my family. I’m hoping to see some fun Christmas lights. <3

3.) I’m going to finish the two books I mentioned before and I’d like to start Whirlwind by Robert Liparulo.

4.) I may be sculpting another figure for a friend’s birthday. I’m debating. XD

Coming soon to Wanderer’s Pen …

December 4: Reclaiming of Shilo Snow by Mary Weber – I finally got to reading this book and I can’t wait to share my thoughts on it!

December 8: So Your Character is Jewish … Featuring Dara @notinjersey – During Hanukkah I’m going to have Dara on the blog to talk about being a Jew in the US!

December 11: Writing Lessons from Anime: Cells at Work! – This is such a cute anime and it has some great things to learn from it!

December 18: Knowing the Novel – I’m doing Christine‘s three-part link-up in one go!

That clay sculpture is adorable! I’ve been loving the Mandalorian and Animal Crossing too. I need to play more though.
Congrats on so many words!

Both games are so good! Have you played any other Legend of Zelda games?

Aw thank you!

I’ve played and beaten Twilight Princess and I’m currently playing Skyward Sword. I tried playing Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time but could never really get into them. We have Windwaker but I haven’t played that one yet.

What Legend of Zelda game is your favourite?

Oooh! I played Twilight Princess when I was 13 so it’s been a while, but it’s kept 1st place on my favourites list. Breath of the Wild and Skyward Sword tie for second though. 😉

Yes! The voice acting is amazing! ^_^ That is a tough question because I like a lot of the characters, but if pressed, I think it would have to be Zelda. ^_^ I love the flashback scenes! Mipha is a really great character and I love how her voice actor portrayed her. <3

Zelda is a great pic! I love her character arc! Mipha’s voice is so precious. <3 Is this your favorite version of Zelda’s character?

I don’t know, lol. It’s hard to choose between Breath of the Wild Zelda and Skyward Sword Zelda. XD But I think BW version will become my favourite once I beat the game and play Age of Calamity. 🙂 It’s probably just me, and it might be weird, but for some reason BW Zelda gives me Kingdom Hearts vibes and Kingdom Hearts is my all-time favourite video game series. <3

Yay! Another KH fan! *high-fives* I love all of the games and until KH3 came out my favourite was KH2, but now it’s KH3. ^_^ Which game is your favourite? And do you have a favourite character?

Birth by Sleep was SO good! And nearly made me cry my eyes out. 😉 It IS so hard to choose just one! Those three are great! I love Axel, Kairi, Riku, and Sora. ^_^ (Though, my list of favourites changes almost daily, lol.)

Yes! The songs are so pretty and I can listen to them on repeat all the time! 😃 My favourite song is Don’t Think Twice. 🙂 I also love Dearly Beloved. But Simple and Clean will always have that favouite nostalgia feel to it. I’ve been playing these games since I was five, lol. 😅
