Monthly Wanderings August 2021

This month was the best month I’ve had since before COVID. I got to see friends, have new experiences, and just feel mostly back to normal. It was so refreshing. <3

What I Did

1.) I did a little preparation for my NaNo novel! I got a basic outline done. Yays! I even got this amazing art commissioned of my main boys. <3

2.) So much happened this month! I went to my aunt’s 60th birthday in South Carolina and had a blast with family!

Then I went to MegaCon and had soooooooooooooo much fun I had to write a whole post about it.

After that my fall semester started then because I like to live on the edge I had some more plans including going to the Van Gogh Immersive Experience which was absolutely stunning! I learned more about this amazing artist and had such a fabulous time. <3

Then I went to Savannah, GA for the weekend with friends! We did a ghost tour, went to the beach, and explored Downtown Savannah!

3.) I’ve been listening to the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes on Audible and I finished Animal Farm by George Orwell on audiobook too! I’m getting addicted to audiobooks …

4.) Between all of this craziness I did do a little sculpting! Here is the Cake from Portal!

The Geeky Department

1.) I’m still playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and enjoying it!

2.) I’m also watching Larkrise to Candleford which is a really fun BBC show.

3.) I got to play Final Fantasy VII Integrate at my friend’s house. They managed to get a hold of a PS5. So good but so sad!

4.) I got to meet Luci Christian (Ochoco Oururaca from My Hero Academia), Charles Martinet (voice of nearly all Super Mario characters), and Brandon McInnis (voice of Sir Nighteye from My Hero Academia) this month!

5.) I also got to rock two new cosplays as Suneater from My Hero Academia and Macrophage from Cells at Work!

What I’m Going to Do

1.) I really want to squeeze in more time writing even if it’s just one or two days a week. I’m still adjusting to my new school schedule.

2.) Though I will be doing a lot of adulting what with school and looking for a part-time job, I also have a few days of plans with friends which I’m looking forward to. <3

3.) I really want to get in some more reading this month even if it’s just audiobooks!

4.) I will be releasing a new line of mini fiction foods on September 2nd and I’ll be holding a big giveaway on my Instagram to celebrate the launch!

Conclusion

This month gave me a lot of hope that things will be better in the future. My spirit feels refreshed and I’m so happy to make more amazing memories with the people I love. <3

Let’s chat! How was your month? Did you do anything fun this summer? Are you starting school this fall too? What classes are you taking?
