It’s Soundtrack Sunday again! The day where I post awesome music to write to or just listen to for pleasure if you’re a fellow soundtrack junkie. This is a piece from one of my favorite childhood films A Little Princess, an adorable film about a girl who was raised in India who has now come to live at an American boarding school.
I love the Indian instruments used in this film. It’s a beautiful blend of Western orchestra with an Indian flair which mixes both sides of the main character Sarah. This is such a touching piece from when Sarah is at an extremely low point in the story and this piece plays during a flicker of hope. It’s hopeful and child-like and so precious. It’s perfect for any story with Indian elements. You can listen to more epic music in my Soundtrack Sundays YouTube playlist.
Have you heard this piece before? Have you seen A Little Princess? What do you think of it?
