Soundtrack Sunday: The Darkest Hour (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies)

It’s Soundtrack Sunday again! The day where I post awesome music to write to or just listen to for pleasure if you’re a fellow soundtrack junkie. Even after five days I still haven’t gotten over the Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies! It was so beautiful and so happy and sad at the same time. Oh the emotions! I wrote a review of it over on Geeks Under Grace and it was definitely positive. ^ ^

Unfortunately I could only find one piece from the score by the awesome Howard Shore, but it’s a good piece nonetheless. This is a melancholy piece with strings and vocals. It is good for a scene with characters watching something sad happen. It’s lovely. ^ ^  For more awesome tracks check out my Soundtrack Sundays YouTube playlist!

Have you heard this piece before? What do you think of it? Have you seen the Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies?
