\nThis month’s character interview is here! Today I’m interview a side character from my Subsapien series named Ashlyn. \n*seven year old Asian girl who is sitting in the chair next to me and is too small for her feet to touch the ground, has a cute curly chameleon tail, grins, waves*<\/div>\n

\nMe:<\/span><\/div>\n
\nReady to answer some questions?<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nAshlyn: <\/span><\/div>\n
\n*bobs her head*<\/div>\n

\nOkay, here’s the first one from Sara Letourneau: What’s most useful about your chameleon aspect? And what’s most frustrating about it? <\/div>\n

\nAshlyn:<\/span><\/div>\n
\n*looks up in though, rubs her chin, gives me her answer in American Sign Language* I like hiding anywhere I want. Sometimes it’s frustrating not to talk.<\/div>\n

\n*laughs softly* All right here’s the next one from Cassidy Clayon: What’s one of her favorite pastimes?<\/div>\n

\n*signs* Tickling people! *gets into a small laughing fit, swings legs*<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMe:<\/span><\/div>\n
\n*shakes head and smiles* Sara Letourneau asks: What is your all-time favorite prank that you’ve pulled on someone? <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nAshlyn: <\/div>\n
\n*grins so mischievously you can almost see the little devil horns, signs* I snuck into one of the scientist’s clinic rooms when they were doing mean stuff to Emil and then I made all their stuff not work. It was funny watching them try to fix it. And I didn’t get caught. *lifts chin in pride*<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMe:<\/span><\/div>\n
\nOh goodness. At least you didn’t get caught. Cassia Taylor wants to know: Have you ever gotten caught stealing?<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nAshlyn:<\/span><\/div>\n
\n*purses lips, nods, signs* Not fun. Got punished.<\/div>\n

\nMe:<\/span><\/div>\n
\nAw. Cassia Taylor would also like to know: What’s the best toy you’ve ever made?<\/div>\n

\nAshlyn:<\/span>
\n*digs down into the little rats nest in her unitard, pulls out a plastic spoon with fur glued to the top for hair and a face drawn on it with a marker and a little tattered dress, signs* Her name is Connie and she hates cabbage. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMe:<\/span><\/div>\n
\nAwwwww. I will be sure not to give her any cabbage then.<\/p>\n

Ashlyn:<\/span>
\n*nods in approval, sets her on her lap*<\/p>\n

Me:<\/span>
\nAnother from Cassidy Clayton: Has she named all of her dolls\/toys?<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nAshlyn:<\/span>
\n*nods, spends the next twenty minutes taking out all her thirty or so homemade toys from rocks, spoons, rubber bands, and other odds and ends*<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMe:<\/span><\/div>\n
\nWow. That’s quite a lot of toys you’ve got there.<\/p>\n

Ashlyn: <\/span>
\n*nods, signs* They’re going to sit out now. They need air.<\/p>\n

Me:<\/span>
\nOkay. * ^ ^=* All right  Sara Letourneau asks: Do you sometimes use sign language to say things about people behind their backs?<\/div>\n

\nAshlyn:<\/span>
\n*giggles, signs* All the time like with the mean scientists.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nMe:<\/span>
\nOh I see. You be careful doing that. You don’t want to get them mad. Kayla Marie wants to know: Who is your best friend? Emil?<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nAshlyn:<\/span>
\n*bobs head enthusiastically, signs* I love him. <\/div>\n
